The Excelsior Trust works closely with the Cirdan Sailing Trust, who use "Excelsior" for their work with young people. Thus "Excelsior" sails in the largest fleet of sail training vessels in the UK.

The Cirdan Sailing Trust specialises in enabling groups of young people, particularly those who are socially, physically or mentally disadvantaged, to experience the challenge and adventure of life at sea.
