Feedback & Suggestions:: Suggest remove or complete dead links
To the best of my knowledge there are only three such links, two of which are now fully active. However the third has been temporarily removed. The inability to edit your own Forum post was a bug which has now been corrected.

The "Excelsior" name [by andrew]

Excelsior LT472:: The "Excelsior" name
The article about the origins of the name "Excelsior" at http://www.excelsiortrust.co.uk/modules/news/article.php?storyid=93 has provoked some interesting discoveries. John Wylson reports that "Excelsior" was the name for a brand of jock-strap, and of course it is also used for an international chain of luxury hotels and a British coach company. Meanwhile Andy Horsman was listening to the Today programme on BBC Radio 4, and heard reference to an Indian newspaper, "The Daily Excelsior". Does anybody else have any unlikely connections?

Website Update [by andrew]

Announcements:: Website Update
The new website has now been up and running for a couple of weeks without any major hitches. Within the last 24 hours I have activated the interactive harbours and anchorages guide at http://www.excelsiortrust.co.uk/modules/news/chartindex.php?storytopic=17
There is a lot of information that is still to be added, but I thought you would like a glimpse of what is coming! Soon this will be linked in to the Excelsior log-book, so you can keep tabs on where she has been recently, or maybe use it to plan your forthcoming voyage.
Please bear in mind that what you see today is very much work in progress, but if you have any suggestions about what you would like to see on this site, do let me know.
